Boafo Beauty  Summer 2021 Beauty Writer  Internship

Boafo Beauty is hosting a summer internship program! We are looking for 5 students to write for the Boafo Beauty blog which will be launching in May. This is a great opportunity to build a portfolio of work, get your start in beauty + media industry, and build connections with fellow creatives and industry professionals! The 10 week summer internship will last from May 25th to August 1st, the responsibilities are as follows:

You will be responsible for: 

  • Pitching 2-5 articles a week

  • Writing one beauty article a week. These articles will consist of

    • beauty guides, product  reviews, interviews with industry professionals and etcetera. 

  • Attend weekly check in meetings with team 

  • By the end of your internship, you will be put together a portfolio of all the articles you wrote during your time at Boafo Beauty which you can in turn use to purse future opportunities. 

 

During this Internship you will learn about:

  • Working in teams to complete tasks and developing interpersonal relationships 

  • How to work with SEOS and how to grow as writer/marketer 

  • Building a creative portfolio 

 

You are qualified for this internship if:

  • You are currently enrolled in college/university and you are able to receive academic credit 

  • You are able to write  + communicate in English 

  • No experience is necessary. However you must have a passion/desire for the beauty, fashion, and media industry. 

 

Location + Pay:

  • This is a remote/ virtual internship therefore anyone can apply. However, please keep in mind that Boafo Beauty is based in New York City. Therefore all due date and virtual meeting times will be in the Eastern Standard Time. 

  • Due to Boafo Beauty being a small startup company, at this time we are unable to pay our interns. However all interns will receive academic credit, and will receive resources throughout the course of the program which will help them excel and advance in industry.
